Raspberries are rich in vitamin C, manganese and fibre [1 and 2].
Vitamin C carries out many functions in the body, but its primary role is as a radical scavenger and antioxidant. Manganese helps to activate enzymes in the body and is an essential element. The fibre contained in raspberries is present as water-soluble pectin. Fibre helps to move along the contents of the intestine, cleansing it at the same time.
Dried raspberries also provide us with folic acid, vitamin K, magnesium iron, copper and phosphorous [1 and 2]. Many people suffer from insufficient provision of folic acid and iron, women being particularly affected. Raspberries also contain antioxidants, including anthocyanins and phenolic compounds.
Modern nutritional science considers the body’s defence mechanisms to be aided by the consumption of foods rich in antioxidants, thereby neutralising excessive production of free radicals.
The raspberry is rich in vitamins and minerals, and since it is supplied dried, it can be eaten throughout the year. This is particularly important in a varied diet with lots of fruit.
Wild mountain raspberries – a world apart from freeze-dried raspberries! Wild mountain raspberries have a strong aromatic fragrance and an intensive fruity flavour. The berries are an attractive rich purple colour nuanced with pink. Their consistency is soft and they don’t easily disintegrate as freeze-dried berries often do.
Origin and Production:
We source our organic wild mountain raspberries exclusively from a remote mountainous region in Uzbekistan / Samarkand. Large parts of the region are certified for organic farming and are worked by the local organic farmers at harvesting time only. The farmers in this area have complied with organic cultivation criteria for many years and are proud of their contribution towards sustaining the natural balance.
The raspberries are picked by hand. After harvesting, the raspberries are carefully cleaned to retain their full aroma and texture and then gently dried using solar energy. The drying process is very eco-friendly, using a solar drying method that has a minimal impact on the product.
The raspberries are pressure treated and controlled in Austria. During the pressure process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely free of pests.

We recommend our dried organic wild mountain raspberries as a small fruity / vegan snack. Be creative and use them in a variety of jams, desserts, puddings, cakes, muffins and fillings for pancakes and waffles. If you make your own muesli, fruit bars, yoghurt or ice cream, try our dried raspberries. You’ll love their rich flavour. The dried raspberries can be softened by soaking them for a short period in any liquid you like, making them easier to process.
