Our organic chickpea flour is ground from whole Fairtrade chickpeas. The flour is of the highest quality, as the chickpeas are cleaned several times before being ground.
Our chickpea flour is very pale and of a pourable quality. The flour is nutty in flavour with the characteristic chickpea taste. The flour is ideal for processing and baking.
Origin and Production:
We source our organic Fairtrade chickpeas exclusively from Uzbekistan / Samarkand. We can be sure of meeting our high quality standards by purchasing our products exclusively from this place.
They ripen in the gardens and fields of Fairtrade farmers in the beautiful regions around Samarkand. Large parts of the region are certified for organic and FAIRTRADE products, and are cultivated by the FAIRTRADE farmers living there. The farmers are part of a large Fairtrade community made up of 3 groups, Dustkul Bogi, Turkiston Gulba and Turob Bobo. 1,000 farmers and their families belong to the community.
By working with Fairtrade, the farmers can provide their families with a secure income and offer their children new opportunities.
After harvesting, our organic chickpeas are cleaned several times, ensuring high purity. The chickpeas are given our standard pressure treatment and they are laser cleaned our laser cleaning facilities in Austria. When undergoing several rounds of cleansing in the laser cleaning facility afterwards, the organic chickpeas are checked individually.
The chickpeas are then ground into a fine flour in a gluten free environment. The chickpeas are also pressure disinfested in our facilities. During the pressure process, the combination of pressure and time ensures that the product is completely free of pests.
