Description: The huge fruit from the tropics has a very exotic, aromatic and fruity taste, and they are also very sweet. The structure is firm, yet very soft and you can easily bend it. The jack fruits are bright yellow or light orange in colour. The discs/pieces are only slightly sticky and hardly stick together.

The jack fruit is also called the little man's fruit. The fruit itself is not small at all, as it can weigh up to 30kg and is therefore the second biggest fear after the pumpkin. Among other things, the jack fruit is said to increase potency, which is why it is very popular with men. It is also said to have a digestive function. The ripe fruits tend to give off a strange smell. In the dried jack fruit, however, you can no longer smell it.

Dried jack fruit contains the same nutrients as fresh fruit, only in a more concentrated form. Therefore, dried fruits are essential for a balanced diet.

Origin and manufacture: We source our organic jack fruit from Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, these fruits, some of which are very large, grow in organically certified areas. The organic farmers living there cultivate the surrounding area and thus improve our and their own living conditions by working traditionally and in harmony with nature.

After harvesting, the jack fruit is halved lengthwise, then the large central core/stunk and then the individual segments (chambers) are detached. Next, the cores that are in the segments are removed. The sliced segments are now gently dried and handpicked. The individual work steps are carried out by hand, whereby attention is paid to high hygienic conditions. This ensures that the dried organic jack fruit is of very good quality.

Purity: In Austria, the Jack fruits are pressure treated and checked several times. When it comes to printing, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests.
